Why sports save us... CONCLUSION

It should be easy to see that sports have a profound and distinct effect on our lives, from the typical adult like Leenders, to the sick child in hospital in need of some inspiration. In the case of New Orleans, it wasn’t just individually, but as a whole community. Aid was needed, and aid was provided… by the NFL. It was provided in ways that nothing else can do. If the Saints succeeded in the miracle of recovering the ailing community, and then succeeded in a miracle of its own right in the standings, it is only the greatest coincidence, if not more.
It is very odd, if nothing else.
It looks like more than a theory, using the examples of Leenders as a single person, and New Orleans as a community, that in fact:

Sports save us.
